Dear Jamily,

We at the Pearl Jam Mailing List `Black' would like to invite you to
join us in a show of love and support for those left behind to deal with
the tragedy in Roskilde and our friends in Pearl Jam. We would like to
show them that we are with them in spirit.

On July 7th at 6:00pm Eastern Time (eg. New York), we would like to
invite you to join us in playing Pearl Jam's new single "Light Years" as
we feel it best describes our feelings on the senseless loss of precious
lives, as well as the feelings we would endure should we lose the
inspiration and light that is Pearl Jam.

Play it in your house, play it in your car, play it at work. Play it
loud, put on your headphones, hum it. Contact your local radio station
and ask them to play it at the designated time and tell them why. The
important thing is that you play it with us and reflect, pray, meditate,
grieve on the tragic events that occurred in Roskilde on June 30, 2000.

Tell every PJ fan you know. Pass it on. Can you imagine... all over the
world... the same Pearl Jam song being played in unison as a show of
love and support for those that have lost a loved one in the tragedy as
well as the band that feels so responsible for what was completely out
of their control ?

Play it loud if you can, but just play it and meditate on this senseless
tragedy and how it has affected so many people in so many different
ways. Give up a few minutes of the life you are so lucky to still have
in reflection.

Let's unite and show the world that we are here, we are strong and we
are there for them in spirit.

Join us on July 7th and let's show PJ that we have learned by their
example, that everything has not been in vain. Show Ed that we were
indeed paying attention when he spoke.

Let's let them hear it on the moon !
We are the Jamily and let's show the world what we're made of !
